Moving Forward with Covid19 (3.23.20)

Greetings Everyone! It is a bit crazed out there and I want to extend information on what I currently know as a Healer and Professional Licensed Bodyworker.

At this point in time my understanding is that massage therapists in WA have not yet been mandated to suspend their practice, therefore able to still see clients where it is "medically necessary". I have been keeping abreast of all the science, stats, mandates, risks, etc. of what is unfolding globally, trying to make the most ethical decisions. Currently "Massage Therapy" has been listed as an "Alternative Medicine" and has been listed as qualified to remain in practice.

I honor and respect anyone's decision to remain distant or continue with their self-care and stress maintenance during these trying times. I plan to remain open until further notice from the Department of Health. To note and to make it a little light, I do offer Ashiatsu, a skill that utilizes the therapists feet (which you'll have at least 5'3, close to 6ft, apart from each other!) :-D

I will also be offering Sound Healing before and after the sessions to tranquil the mind and keep the zen of the environment and our work we will have together. To reiterate, from my previous email, I keep the office thoroughly cleaned. I truly appreciate all of your support and belief in Self-Care and Stress Maintenance during this transitional time. I will be sending further updates as I learn more on my end as well. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns moving forward.

Going beyond Washington State Department of Health’s strict standards for operating a massage business, Ohmbodywork follows strict guidelines of washing hands before and after any human contact; hand sanitizers, rubbing alcohol or disinfecting wipes are used in transition of contact with surfaces; and to practice strict orders to not come into the facility if anyone is feeling ill or has been in contact with anyone known to contract the virus.
