A brief follow up regarding all the updates with our State's Phase's and protocols. As some of you may have observed during your visits during these recent weeks, Ohmbodywork has been practicing the already in place guidelines of washing hands before and after any human contact; utilizing hand sanitizers, rubbing alcohol or disinfecting wipes to be used in transition of contact with surfaces; and to practice strict orders to not come into the facility if anyone is feeling ill or has been in contact with anyone known to contract the virus. Since the Office setting is not of a Day Spa with multiple people and foot traffic, the risks are slimmer. It is a bit crazed out there and I want to extend information on what I currently know as a Healer and Professional Licensed Bodyworker. At this point in time my understanding is that massage therapists in WA have not yet been mandated to suspend their practice, therefore able to still see clients where it is "medically necessary". I have been keeping abreast of all the science, stats, mandates, risks, etc. of what is unfolding globally, trying to make the most ethical decisions. Currently "Massage Therapy" has been listed as an "Alternative Medicine" and has been listed as qualified to remain in practice.
